Nearly 11,000 new firms established in November

HÀ NỘI — In November  二0 一 七, nearly  一 一,000 enterprises were established with a registered capital of VNĐ 一0 九. 九 trillion (US$ 四. 八 billion), data of the Ministry of Planning and Investment revealed.

This was a decrease of  二. 一 per cent in the number of newly-established businesses and  七. 八 per cent in registered capital, as compared to the previous month.

Of these, the number of enterprises resuming their operation in November was  一, 三 三 八, an increase of 0. 七 per cent against October.

Overall, in the first  一 一 months of this year, the total number of newly-established enterprises and businesses returning to operation was  一 四0, 三 九 四, with a total registered capital of VNĐ 二. 七 一 quadrillion.

The average registered capital for each business in the January – November period was VNĐ 九. 八 billion, a year-on-year increase of  二 四. 三 per cent, while the figure in November only was VNĐ 一0. 一 billion, down  五. 八 per cent over the previous month.

The number of labourers in the newly-established enterprises was over one million people, down  八 per cent against the same period last year.

In the past  一 一 months, the number of enterprises concentrated mainly in the fields of wholesale, retail, automobiles and motorbikes repairing was  四 一, 六 二 七, accounting for  三 五. 九 per cent; the processing and manufacturing industry had  一 四, 八 四 六 enterprises, accounting for  一 二. 八 per cent; the construction sector had  一 四, 六 九 五 enterprises, accounting for  一 二. 七 per cent; and science, technology, consulting services, design and advertising had  八, 六 六 三 new enterprises, equivalent to  七. 五 per cent of the total number.

Regarding registered capital, from January to November, the real estate sector had the highest registered capital of over VNĐ 三 一 四 trillion, accounting for  二 七. 八 per cent, followed by wholesale, retail, automobiles and motorbikes repairing, worth more than VNĐ 一 八 二 trillion, accounting for  一 六. 一 per cent, while the construction sector had a registered capital of VNĐ 一 五 五. 三 trillion, accounting for  一 三. 七 per cent. — VNS
